I have a Cavendish about 5' tall and it has 2 blooms on the same stalk. There are 2 plants in the pot. Is this a rarity?
Also the past 2 mornings we were in the upper 40's; very rare for my part of North Carolina. Is this a concern?

Maybe it's a double mahoi...

It's a ' Double '. They are a type of cavendish that produce 2 or more buds even at 5 foot.

Is that a type of Cavendish? I was thinking it is the same as the Raj Peri that choked?

We had very high winds last week and then heavy rain with hail that literally shredded the leaves.

Need a little more help, please.

The banana that "choked"; I was told it was Raj Peri.
Is this one with double blooms also a Raj Peri or a different type of Cavendish?

Pretty sure it's a double mahoi. Just check the wiki on this site.
Here's the link: Musa Double (Mahoi) - Bananas Wiki (http://www.bananas.org/wiki/Musa_Double_%28Mahoi%29)

Double Mahoi is a cavendish cultivar. It makes two or more flowers after the second year.

Congrats! I'd love to get that one!!!

Wow! Thanks! Do you think the other one in the same pot and the same size, could produce a bloom?

Yes but probably after the other one is harvested...
