If you're in California I don't mind picking up from you. Please if anyone has one for sale please let me know. That's the last banana variety that I need for my collection.
Thanks Mike
Also if you have any other bananas for sale or want to give away please let me know as well

I do not have any AeAe, but seeing your collection, you might wanna consider a Mysore variety like Pisang Klotek or Pisang Ceylon for growing in San Diego. They do well here and are absolutely delicious.

I thought you received an AE in a trade with a member last year, hope it's doing well. There are many folks in SoCal that are growing these beast, try checking CL.
x2 on the Mysore.
& get a Patupi.

Nope, never got it.
I am on CL a lot but have never seen one in California. The Patupi would be on my future "wanted" list, but I have been a little reluctant because genetically it is in the AA group, willing to try my green thumb on both.

There's gotta be thousands of them in SoCal, keep your bananas peeled.
You know the Tigua grows great in your area and you can get that anywhere.
Don't worry about the Patupi, it's growing great in LA. Hopefully plant to harvest in under 11 months, we'll know soon.

Try JD Andersen Nursery - Home (http://www.jdandersen.com) in Fallbrook (remote hills). I picked up two large 6'+ Ae Ae from them in late 2007 for $100 each.
Several years ago members reported that Green Thumb Nursery in Ventura County was selling them for $49.

I suggest calling. I don't think it was ever a big part of their operation. As I understand it, the father had an Ae Ae mat at his house down at San Juan Capistrano and they potted up pups to sell. When I visited I bought the two they had. That was a long time ago though.
