Hello everyone, was wondering what experiences folks have had with minature banana plants. Looking for one that would go in the bathroom next to the lemon tree. The room faces south and gets good sunlight all day long. Is there a prefered plant that will stay below say 4-5 ft tall. I thank y'all in advance.

Personally I have had very bad experience with the Super Dwarf Cavendish, or whatever it is that IKEA sells that looks like cabbage.

On the other hand, this can have something to do with my climate and growing conditions, but all in all they dissapoint me every time.

Why not go for something that grows about 6-10 feet, like dwarf brazilian or dwarf orinoco instead? They dont get too tall, are tolerant of cool/harsh conditions, produce great tasting fruit in a shorter timeframe, and look great too!

Musa Little Prince is a good choice and only grows to approx 2 to 3 feet tall.

Musa manni might be a good choice also, it stays really short, and has ornamental flowers instead of edible bananas.

Going bananas has Musa manni- http://www.going-bananas.com/
They are a little more spendy from them, but they are selling larger corms, instead of small skinny tissue culture plants.
aloha tropicals has it also- never ordered from them though-
