Taking a daily walking of the afternoon, I happened to find a large forest of
Basjoo which has been enduring the winter of zone 9b. I have never seen
such a large and tall forest of Basjoo, of which pseudostemm was abt. 30cm
in diameter and the tallest one was abt. 4~5m.
When spring comes, the scenery will change vigorously!

Hi Andrei,
I live in Japan on the pacific coast in a city abt 150km west from Tokyo, near
Mt.Fuji, the highest mountain of this country.
The bananas planted wild here is only Basjoo that consists of different kinds,
dwarf kind about 1m up to tallest kind of 5m. An interesting thing is the
colour of flower bud. They differ from yellowish green to pale red.
You might have already known Musa Basjoo Sakhalin, Musa Basjoo Sapporo
and Musa Basjoo Ryukyu etc.

All is clear, thanks. I heard about many versions Musa Basjoo, such as:
Musa basjoo Sintei Somoku
Musa basjoo Variegata
Musa basjoo Izmit
Musa basjoo Formosana
Musa basjoo Fuji-Yama
Musa basjoo Fuji-Yama Variegata
Musa basjoo Sapporo
Musa basjoo Sakhalin
Musa basjoo Salmon
Musa basjoo Tchechenia
Musa basjoo Wilsonii
Musa basjoo x hybridum
I at all did not know, that so it is a lot of them. You could make very good reporting at a forum, about versions Basjoo. The information about these kinds and a photo has some. I think it the excellent information string would turn out. How you look at it?:03:

Thanx Andrei for your response.
I have nothing more to say as you know about Basjoo far better than I do.
But if you have something to ask, please don't hesitate!
