In my native research areas, there are certain journals that I watch for articles of interest. For those who follow banana research, what journals do you watch and strive to publish in? Also, where might I find a good "review of the literature" article published in the last 5-8 years?

Thanks!

Don't know of any common journals such as Modern Musa, Journal of the American Musa Association, Musa Quarterly, or Musa Industry News.

On the INIBAP site, infoMusa used to be published regularly, it hasnt been published since 2005 but you can still download all of the old issues. You can also search MusaLit on the INIBAP site, that is a very good resource and is regularly updated.

Banana Bioversity International -- - InfoMusa (http://bananas.bioversityinternational.org/content/view/31/48/lang,en/)

Find in MUSALIT (http://musalit.inibap.org/)

A very good one for the publication of new or revised taxonomy is Novon. Markku Hakkinen just described Musa yunnanensis and Musa acuminata var. chinensis in the December issue. In next month's issue (it is a quarterly journal), his article on Musa itinerans will come out, and I am very much looking forward to it!

The Annals of Botany is a good one also, for banana research in general.
