My dad bought this two years ago at a local florist. There's no name whatsoever on the tag except 'banana plant' (very useful eh! )
It's currently growing in my kitchen with plenty of sun. Temperatures sometimes drop to 10C (50F) (we don't heat much :p ) thus the browning.

It's about a foot an a half high (mother plant). I'm going to repot in the spring. Should I wait before separating the pup?

i would wait till the pups got a little bigger....thats what ive read on here anyway. it looks like a high color mini musa, but without the red on the leaves...maybe someone with more experience can id it right for you.

My Vote is:
Little Prince
or
SDC

Thank you guys!
I was also thinking along the lines of a super dwarf cavendish. I haven't got any reddish-brown color on it, so I don't think it could be a high color mini. Little prince is smaller than sdc, right?
If it really is a sdc, then it will grow to only 2-4'. Should I separate the pups? I know the biggest pup appeared at the end of spring. Of course, I will give them more space in spring with a bigger pot.

Super Cav. Dwarf. Notice the way the leaves have a 3D look (pic 2 and 3). See how the the veins coming off the midrib are so defined. I've only seen it this pronounced on the SDC.:0517:

Yeah, I was leaning to SDC right after I posted this. Also, give it more space, prune the dead leaves off, and separate the pups if you want more SDC plants it wont hurt the mother.

That looks like exactly with my dwarf cavendish.
I just got my SDC so I have no comparison.
