I moved my plants inside in Oct. the plants that were new this year have died or so I think, the other two that are approx 3 ft tall are loosing their leaves and I have noticed tiny bugs around the stalk, I tried spraying with water and dish soap but that didn't work, I think these bugs are slowly killing my naners.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. They are in the basement with a small grow light on for 9 hrs a day.

It might be spider mites ,but it is hard to say with no good description of them!

hi i spray all my plants with Avid it is a chemical spray just for spider mites it works great,,ive tried to do the insect soap ,but they end up coming back,,insect soap does not work very good for spidermites,,I spray avid on them and increase air circulation by setting up a fan for my plants, and also use a humidifier,,If you spray Avid be careful in the house with it ,it is not intended for indoor use..when I spray mine i put them all in one room or the garage and spray them and leave them sit for about a day,and than bring them back out,,occasionally misting your plants under the leaves will help detour spider mites as well, but avid is the only thing that works real good for spidermites .soaps are just not real affective when it comes to spidermites!!

The best way to get rid of them is to fight fire with fire! I have used them them in the past for plants grown inside under grow lights and they work like a charm.
