Freeze a banana in the peel (seal it into a plastic bag and allow it to freeze totally - the peel will turn black but the fruit will be just fine inside). Blend and freeze 1 cup of fresh mango pulp. Once both of these are well frozen, place in blender and add about 1/2 cup of unsweetened apple juice. Whip it up into a thick, smooth, still-almost-frozen mass. Add more apple juice or just plain water if it's too thick and cold. This tastes as good as smooth, creamy chocolate!

sound very, very good. like the kind of good you get with brain freeze. the last mango i bought at walmart was unripe on the outside and when i cut it open it was rotted around the seed.i was kind of weirded out about that, not to mention a little upset. you pay 2.98 for a mango and its rotted. will have to go to foodlion of kroger to get a good mango.

I've always peeled my bananas before freezing them .... is it better to leave the peels on them or does it matter? I can't wait to try this recipe!

Mskitty: I think you can return it and get your money back. I've seen it done a few times at Costco. The lady said the taste was bland .
One time I saw a guy returned a dried stump out of the pot and dirty pot at Home Depot and was told to get another new plant in their garden center.

i hate paying that much for a mango and for that price it should be perfect.i dont know why they are rotten like that on the inside, but its not the first time that has happened. i bought some black plums last year to make spiced plum jam and all 4 lbs were rotted on the inside. then the mango thing. so im just going to buy my fruit at kroger or foodlion for now on. you dont know how mad i was. i had a taste for mango, and then boom. if you think thats bad they had pineapples that weighed 1 lb. and they were 4.98 for one. no i didnt buy it. so it was a very trying day in tn. i would have took it back, but i was so mad i probably would of lost my temper, and thats not a pretty sight, so i just composted it.:2221: :2129:

this was really good. however i did tweek it a little. next time i will peel the nana before i put it in the freezer. i forgot applejuice so i used 1/2 cup of the mango juice. also i didnt freeze the mango. the consistancy was awsome.i was able to drink it through a straw. i also put 1 tsp. of raw honey and a dash of cinnamon. i will be making this more often. its a healthy snack when you want something to eat, but just not anything heavy. still have 2 nanas in the freezer! you guys need to try this. thanks for the recipe!!!!
