Yes but this one lives in Zone 7b without protection and starts to flower in Mid July, the flower lasts till October.

that's special...
then i don't know what it is, or is a Coccinea hardy 'till zone 7/8?

I don't think Coccinea is hardy to zone 7 or 8. I'm in zone 9 and mine doesn't start to bloom after a hard winter (26 or below) until September. However, during mild winters, it will bloom continuously. How much sun does yours get?

8 hours indirect as the Saba and Orinocco dwarf it

That's Musa coccinea. It has been hardy in zone 8a Anniston, AL for several years, but has never bloomed there, even in a protected microclimate up against a south-facing brick wall. Yours must have been established for some time to bloom so early in zone 7b! That's encouraging news. I must try that species again soon.

Coccinea will bloom rather short at 3 feet of pseudostem.

Yes that's why I decided to put the picture out here for opinion. I like my Sambuca with a coffee been in the bottom then lit on fire.
