Blue Java

Well...I haven't been on the forum for a while, dealing
w/ some personal things and well my computer basically
BROKE on me :2738:
Basically all my plants and corms died, they all rotted.
:( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(
What I thought was lightly watering, turned out to be overwatering,
I really had no example to go by, and by the the time I realized
they were all deteriorating and I could not save them. I performed
major surgery on them to try and cut off all the rot, and they still died.
Evidently anything wetter than DRY was overkill. And I mean
this literally.
Ironically, my sole survivor is my Blue Java! :2121:
I had to take it out of the dirt, and set it out for
over a week, i surgically removed most of the rotting
parts, i cut off the leaves which were dead, ripped off
allot of the outer leaf stalks, and some chunks out of the corm.
(yes it was that bad :( )
It looks okay, I think it might survive, there are still some
tiny pin hole rot spots but I'm leaving those alone. It is
scabbed over pretty good from where i have cut it but otherwise
it looks a helluva allot better than the rest.
I apologize to all who gave me plants, i really had no idea
how DRY the soil needed to be, and honestly i hardly watered
them.
So now I know for next time.
