Greetings from Bristol, UK. I'm new to the forum. I got lucky with a couple of banana seeds a few years back and now they are an unmanageable size! Getting ready for winter is a problem. Nevertheless, I am having another shot at bananas, with a selection of seeds. Sorry the photos are so bad! Great forum!

Thanks for all your replies.
Concerning the winters here...... It's a bit variable. Currently, it has been several degrees below zero on a quite a few nights in the past week. Overall, winters here can vary from quite mild to relatively cold with regular sub-zero temperatures. Hence the (boring) wrapping on the bananas. The basjoo regularly gets wrapped up in straw every year and always comes out smiling in the spring. The others usually get stuffed into an insulated greenhouse and survive, but one of them is simply too big this year. I'm curious about what to do with an apparent attempt at flowering earlier this year, but I guess I'll post that in another topic.
