Hello everyone,
I'm new and don't know much about growing bananas. My niece gave me a plant about 3 years ago and I started it outside in a container. Since that time I've have many new starts and the mother plant produced fruit this year. My question is....can a person eat the fruit? They are still green. I live in Oklahoma and will probably have to take up the plants soon since I know Jack Frost is just around the corner. Do you pick the fruit green or will the turn yellow before harvest? How big does the fruit get before picking it? Thanks for any help you can give!
