Like I said on the introduction post, I'm on a search for my first perfect banana plant(s) that will survive my black thumb and don't rip me off :) I thought I should check with the forum member first. I'm especially looking for the SDC. Also, will be interested in dwarf varieties that doesn't grow more than 6-8' (esp. dwarf cavendish and rajapuri). Please send me an e-mail if you have one to sale/trade. Thank you!

IMHO

given your black thumb, forget the sdc..

search here and gardenweb, read comments..
you would probably rip your self off ..

lol, Southern_Grower. You're probably right. I have been reading a lot here and gardenweb lately and got a long list of what I'm interested in already. I heard about the bad reputation of the SDC, but it's small size and nice form still sounds interesting. Thanks for the warning :)

If you're still looking for sdc, I still have several of them left. They are the high color mini sdc. I got them tissue cultured from Agristarts.
Also dwarf cavendish, although they don't stay all that small! and some sumatrana X gran nains that are supposed to top out in the 8 foot range.
let me know if you're interested, if you didn't already find these.

Thanks for all the replies! So far I've got SDC, dwarf cevendish, and dwarf orinoco. I will concentrate on the 'growing' part for a while before trying any more :)
