Says this one gets to 18' . The dwarf nino only gets 4-5 ' in containers and 10' in the ground .

Ive never heard of Nanica and cannot find any info on it. There is however reference to Nanicão, which in Brazil is a name for what we would call Giant Cavendish.
Nino is not Dwarf Cavendish at all. It is what is sometimes referred to as "baby banana" in grocery stores, it is a small sweet dessert type.

Sucrier is probably the most common name for it, there are many others though which vary widely by region. Often times also the plants will vary slightly by region but most are generally the same or very similar.

Thanks Gabe, you are right, it must be nanicao. Basjoofriend calls it Nanica as well. I will inform him to use the proper name in his banana-book.

The duration of endogenous polyamines and peroxidase activity (EC 1.11.1.7) was analyzed in the pulp of the fruits...see more
