This is a picture of one of my bananas. This one grew about 4' from April to June (and put out those pups in late May), and after that every new leaf would get snapped off by wind just as it was opening up. That has happened to 5 of its leaves so far this summer. I think it has opened 1 or 2 leaves successfully all summer. I have another, slightly shorter, about 8 feet to the right (out of picture) which hasn't had this problem. What do you all think I should do?

Quit eating all those burritos? :D

Seriously, weird, we have lots of wind here in FL and mine don't get snapped off like that, just shredded.

What are you fertilizing them with? I remember someone having similar problems when pumping too much nitrogen to them.
