This ice cream and ladyfinger arrived yesterday after only 4 days in the post, and in good condition in spite of the careless attentions of customs - still - thanks guys for sending them on and not impounding them. Thank you Jarred for packaging them so well, and your earth is very good compared to our alkaline shale which always needs so much work. But the gardener is taking up some turf tomorrow and that makes wonderful compost!

Here they are planted and the ladyfinger is already showing a new leaf. The rebar is dog protection - a couple of 110 pounders at play cause havoc. Thank you again Jarred as they are in lovely condition - wait until you see them in a week or so's time!
