Good work!
I am envious!

So what are the pertinent details: how tall, how old are they, what size pot?

I can't exactly remember how old they are, but I think they are two years old. I had told Ashley from Agristarts to "fill up the rest of a split liner with something cheap that looked good" and she sent me bordelons. I'd never heard of them before but it turned out to be a great choice. They were overwintered in the greenhouse last year around 45-50 degrees and they did great in one gallon pots. Then I felt sorry for the ones I hadn't sold and put some of them in three gallons this summer. One of them is in a decorative 14" pot from Walmart that was near the pool. They have been very easy to grow and very prolific with pups, I've been removing them all summer and spring.
One plant is only about 8 feet tall, the one in the greenhouse is about 12' tall, but it gets more fertilizer, being in the greenhouse.
The bad part is that we got a big wind storm the other night again, and I wasn't home to close things up, so both of them got several leaves broken off when they fell over, so now they don't have many leaves. I hope that doesn't affect them adversely, but since they have pups, maybe those pups will contribute some energy to the mother corm (I hope!).

Thanks for the report. Sounds like a fantastic plant, and I will be interested to hear if the fruit is worth it.

I've heard that bordelon fruit is no good to eat. Seeds, like a zebrina.
I'm just excited about having two blooming at once like that. I suppose I could pollenate them together?
