I have been so thrilled this the progress of this Saba I got from Chris in Tampa, that I just had to show him off... I received this corm along with a BUNCH of other stuff from Chris at the end of June... By the first week of July, I had it planted along with the Illustris ee's that were very small pieces (3) of some more mature plants... The saba sat and sulked for about a month which worried me, but by the first of August, this little guy decided to shoot up, and boy, did it ever!!! I am getting about 2 leaves a week and as you can see, it has surpassed me (6'4"). The Illustris have done very well also... I am really looking forward to see how this saba does for me next year!!! Just thought I would share the pic and thank Chris one more time...
BTW, hey BigDog, how is yours doing???

Thanks for the compliments!!! As far as the fence goes, I have a local fence company that installed it for me for about $10 a running foot. With the backyard sloping to the front I had to have them build it so you could not see folks around the pool from the road... The corner where the Saba is planted is about 10-12' high... Kinda looks like a castle wall being so tall, but I wanted the privacy around the pool and this was the only way I knew to do it... Here is a pic of the fence taken from the street...
