Does anyone else want to sell a CG pup? That was one heck of a price, I would pay $50 shipped.

Yeah thanks! Next time I might use eBay though because I need the cash for a car. But I don't want it to get into the wrong hands either. I have 2 more pups coming out and one I might be able to divide but that would be saved for Pete. The other one... I don't know what it'll do. I divided one other pup and planted it in my garden and it has taken off too. That one is much larger and I might sell that one. I don't truly know at this time.....
I am glad I set it at 35 because it ended up a friend got it who has just sent me stuff, so I guess the 15$ less makes up for the stuff he sent me =P

I am no longer going to sell this pup on this site. I received an Infraction for Bad Business Practices, and if that is the case, than I can sell it somewhere else. I am sorry if this is a disappointment to anyone, but I don't think trying to spread this wonderful banana is worth any fuss at all. Steve, PM me.
This is what I got-
Dear taylor_loves_bananas,
You have received an infraction at Bananas.org.
Reason:
-------
Bad Business Practices
I know what you did Taylor and it is not acceptible.
You caused a chain reaction of events and it was unnecessary.
If you give you word about selling something to somebody, keep it.
One lesson you need to learn is good business practices.
I want you to learn good business practices now, so that these things do not come back to bite you in the rear later in life.
This is your warning and an infraction point.
-------
This infraction is worth 1 point(s) and may result in restricted access until it expires. Serious infractions will never expire.
All the best,
Bananas.org

Taylor if you would like to bring private messages out in the open here we can go that route but I don't think you will like that based on what I have read.
Here is your finish line, I suggest you leave it alone:

Yes I will leave it alone this time! (the finish line) I think it all got settled if I am not mistaken. I hope so at least. I made a mistake and took on too much at one time and I am willing to admit that. I think this discussion is over and I will have to live with the knowledge of what happened. I am sorry for any disruptions in the forum, and may we all continue and put this behind us. Although I am a little confused as to what happened, it is over with. Thanks everyone. :giveflowersnana:

You should cancel the ebay auction and sell the pup to Harvey for the $35, Taylor.
That's the right thing to do, don't you think? Being that he is the one that you said you would sell it to...
Do the right thing Taylor.
Taylor
09-12-2007, 02:14 PM
I don't know how to cancel it. I paid 5 dollars for the auction... Just saying, I think that should be added if canceled. Tell me if that is fair..........
Taylor
09-12-2007, 02:16 PM
And that also means teach me how to cancel it...
MediaHound

Read this page, it tells you how:
http://pages.ebay.com/help/sell/questions/endlist-now.html
And no, it's not fair what you did with the plant that you already had committed to selling here.

To end your listing early:
Type your item number into the End My Listing Early form (http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?EndingMyAuction). (You can get this number on your listing, on your confirmation email, or on your My eBay page.)
If there are bids on your item, choose between
Cancel bids and end listing early or Sell item to high bidder(s) and end listing early
(If your item has no bids, you can skip this step).
Choose the reason you're ending your listing early.
Your listing will end and will no longer be active on eBay. If there were bidders, they will be emailed that their bid was canceled and the listing ended early.

Since Harvey is the high bidder anyway, you should end it and sell it to him as the high bidder.

Thanks, Taylor, I'm sorry this was such trouble. Payment has been sent. I hope our next transaction is easier.
Jarred, thank you for your devotion to this community!
I am donating this pup to a community garden and hope it brings joy to many.
Peace,
Harvey

And Harvey, that certainly is very nice of you, very commendable...

Yay! I knew Taylor would do the right thing (although I don't know what happened exactly)
Taylor amazes me with the things he has learned here. What I think is so great is that he is able to learn maturity and integrity on a side that his parents aren't a part of. Teenagers are usually so gross... but Taylor's an alright guy! :)

Oh... and thanks Harvey. Your generosity can be a lesson for some. :)

That's good for Harvey!
He must have been infected by me.
So far, I have given away for free about 23 California Gold bananas to date. Provided they come and dig them up, or convinced me to ship it to them for one reason or another and refunded just for the postage, and some were also used for exchange.
My only requirement is that only based on trust, they should also give away the first two to three pups for free.

Joe, I was infected long before I met you but I probably added another strain to this disease after meeting you. I've been blessed with many generous friends, family, and resources that I always try to be thankful for. I've only been able to give away Dwarf Orinoco pups so far but should have others in the years ahead. A friend from Puerto Rico who is temporarily living in the same town as Joe recently surprised me with an Ae Ae pup and he's been looking for a banana for the community garden he is helping out with so this seemed like an ideal way to help.
It is easy to take friends for granted. It just dawned on me that I have not made a donation to the International Banana Society. Hmmm....oh yeah, generous Jarred is spending money to run these forums and is not accepting donations at this time (http://www.bananas.org/wiki/Bananas_Wiki:Site_support)! He and the moderators spend many hours as well. Thanks for bringing us together! :D

You guys are making me feel guilty for my fleeting thought:
". . .maybe I can snipe that auction at the last minute. . ."
Just kidding! Glad it all worked out for Taylor, HarveyC, et al. This forum has drama. Who knew bananas could be so exciting?
JoeReal: Yours sounds like a commendable example of "paying it forward".
Cheers,
Ed.

I must also agree with Harvey and Joe. As a hobbiest, and an advocate thereof, it only makes good sense to "spread the wealth". I have given away far more plants than I own and when I have lost a culture completely I have replaced it from within the network I've created .
In addition, I have gained the knowledge returned from the recipients of my generosity. Likewise, I have enjoyed the generosity of others. Case in point .. One member of this board has shipped me 13 Alocasia/Colocasia starts thus renewing my intrest in EE's and asked nothing in return.
Yet another member has sent me a box so completely packed with Musas that I felt the very same as many felt on Christmas morning as a child.
Later, the same person sent me a Siam Ruby. Never even asked for shipping, just sent it knowing that it would make me happy.
I must understand Taylor as well , for I too experienced the learning period and received very little guidance . He is lucky to belong to a community such as this where one is called out on points of credibility. He is a good person, just learning the way as we all did . I know the lesson was well recieved. A person is only as good as his/her own word. I have faith in humankind and know that one day Taylor will repay my kindness by sending me a CG pup! He offerd me several nice plants this week but I already had them .

Taylor, the pup was delivered to my friend today and he potted it up and will plant it outdoors in the community garden next spring. We've been having cooler weather than normal for September.
My friend reported that it was in great shape and a "huge" and a very nice plant.
Thanks again, Taylor!

Oh my, looks like I have been missing some action around here. Personally, I would question the authenticity of a plant coming from someone with those kinds of antics!:rollerbananadone:

Kyllie, it was not a big deal. It was ideal as the guy I shipped it to and will plant it in the community garden is just living here temporarily but sent me a small Ae Ae pup recently out of the blue. On top of it, this is going into the same community where member Joe Real lives and he gave me a full grown 9' Cal Gold and a nice Dwarf Brazilian back in June (though I had to do much of the digging! LOL). The receiving is nice, but so is giving. If I am very very lucky I might even be in the position to give away Ae Ae pups some day, but don't hold your breath as both you and my Ae Ae might die!
