Hello friends,
Yesterday a lightning struck a ceder tree about 200m away from my house,
and I first checked if my PC was damaged by an induced thunder.
Quite happily nothing wrong was found and everything was in order probably
due to a lightning guard device.

Here are the pictures showing how the tree was damaged:

Wow, lucky nobody was nearby the tree, real dangerous being under trees
with lightning.

The storm we had 2 nights ago struck 2 trees right across the street. 1 about 5 feet away from theeir 5 year old daughters window. The other, about 30 feet from our back door.

No joke. Pretty serious, setting off there house alarm for BOTH strikes.

Yikes. Once while camping in a tent a tree nearby got hit. Don't think I have ever been woke up more scared than that before or since.

Secondly, that is by far the biggest cedar tree I have ever seen!

Wow! That is very scary! The first year we moved into this house (2001), we had a major freak thunderstorm go through. I thought the downpour was so cool, so opened the back door to watch. Almost as soon as I did, the lightning struck the ground right in front of me! The yard was still dirt then, so no damage, thankfully, but it sure makes me respect the power of Nature!!!
