Hi all!!!
I have 5 kinds of bananas:
M. Velutina
M Lasiocarpa
Praying Hands, unconfirmed
Unidentified #1
Unidentified #2 Dwarf
I have posted a few pics.
I hope to get a few more soon.
I also have citrus, gingers and MANY orchids!
All are grown outside most of the year and I have a makeshift greenhouse in the winter, which gets more crowded each year.
I have been enjoying catching up on all the posts and info on this site and hope to learn lots more!:nanablowskisses:

Hi Margie , a very welcome, those are good looking bananas. You can
start a thread in the banana-identification forum for your unknown ones.

Hey, thanks for the greeting!
Yes, that's my plan for the unknowns.....
I wonder about the praying hands, too. I haven't seen that black on the stems of any other pics....where would I ask that question? Species?

Welcome welcome Margie!
Those with the ID are indeed good looking banana plants as Ron stated.
If you need help with posting pics shoot me a PM and I will walk you through it.
Basically what you do it click the little image with the sunset over the mountain range:
http://www.bananas.org/images/editor/insertimage.gif
That will open a little window where you can paste the image location.
If its not yet on a webserver, you will need to upload it to one (or our photo gallery) first.
I see you got as far as uploading some pics. Visit any pic and under the pic you will see this:
"Code for bulletin boards:"
Grab that code and paste it right in the message.
Using that code, there's no need to use the "http://www.bananas.org/images/editor/insertimage.gif" utility.
Best regards and welcome welcome!

Is the pseudostem round or "oblong"..Praying hands pseudostems are oblong (almost a flat side).
