On my Royal Purple. I am pretty sure it is a flag, but not certain.

This is awesome. First year too, growth all the way from corm. Its funny because I have other Bananas at blooming height and I didn't even look for a flag on this one. And so far it is the only one that is going to bloom. I'm still hoping for an edible though! :2169:

So You get a flag just before a flower? Never had any bloom before but maybe before the frost! I hope. :2201:

Yep, Flag, then Bloom, Then Female flowers (if edible, these are the nannas), then the Male flowers.

Will a picture a day do?
haha
Also, I told Steve this and probably the rest of ya, it died back to the corm so I ignorantly put it in the compost where it came up. Then I potted it back up this spring. Let it get some size and then planted it in the ground. Fast grower. I need to go take an update picture.
Oh an BTW,
We had a HUGE storm and I am not exaggerating last night. 3 Bolts of lightning hit 2 trees in our block, it might be time to go look for those too.
Just saying I wouldnt be surprised if some trees were on the ground.
