My Bareroot Tall Orinoco just get dropped in a hole dug for them about April 15th here when its frost safe. Takes about 3 weeks to start leafing back out. I dug a Musa Yunnanensis a couple of days ago to make sure they were taking the cold okay as they were small plants grown from seed. Has taken down to 12F with no root damage and no mulch. I Potted it up the same day and now that it is in a warm room, it is already pushing growth.

Best way is to plant them in So FLA at my place. Our Banana fert is dynamite.

Hey Matt. How are you storing these bananas, bare root or in pots. If in pots I just start watering/fertilizing lightly. If bare root just plant in a not too big pot and get it warm! Actually in both cases a heating mat can go a long way.
Mine never sleep! It shows on my electricity bill...
