Randy,
Ever since I studied Astronomy in 7th grade, I have been interested in it. This site: http://spaceweather.com/ is a big help if you are new to this, it is updated every day. I finally got a telescope 2 years ago for Christmas and I looked at the sun (on a piece of paper reflection, not actually looked!) and looked at the craters on the moon up-close.
Now that NASA is planning on putting a permanent building on the moon, I cant wait to search for that (in 2010-2020?) I assume that they will be smart enough to put it on the side of the moon that gets the most sun, which I am sure that we could see sometime.
Lunar Eclipses are cool too.

Not the first time, and probably not the last... You would think I would learn to not take someone's word on something until I learn the actual truth...
Here is a link to learn more of the farce...

Sorry, if I got anyone's hopes up....

I wish I started a log of every time I've read this great announcement. One friend sent it to me two years ago and then again last year even though I pointed out to him it was a spoof after the first time. Randy, I trust you probably won't be making a repeat post of this next year, at least! ;)

Sorry buddy ,
I recieved two of these emails that day and caught myself looking up :P
I knew that someone had posted this before and I just couldn't resist !
If it makes you feel better ,I was passing around an email about a very heroic dog who was awarded one of the nations highest honers. A member here snopes'd it before I put it on the board (A big thanks to that member).
