First of all, thank you for all your help in the past.

This is the deal, out of all the seeds I planted 16 of 62 Musa velutina seeds have sprouted "Yea!!", but concerning all the others nothing has happened.
How much more time should I give the other varieties before giving up?

Below is the process each variety went through. Right now all are in an environment where it is 80-90's during the day and 65 at night.

A.
Sikkimensis (22 seeds scored)
Sikkimensis (22 seeds un-scored)
Soaked in room temperature water for 6 days then. The cold treatment in the refrigerator between paper towels, changing the paper towel once a week.
Starting soaking 10/26/15 went to cold treatment 11/1 planted in treated soil 11/30.

B.
Musa sp. (Helens Hybrid) (50 seeds)
Soaked in room temperature water for 6 days then. The cold treatment in the refrigerator between paper towels, changing the paper towel once a week.
Starting soaking 10/26/15 went to cold treatment 11/1 planted in treated soil 11/30.

C.
Musa thomsonil (51 seeds) - 10/26 Soaked in room temperature water for 6 days then planted in soil 11/1

D.
Musa velutina (62 seeds) – 10/26 Soaked in room temperature water for 6 days then planted in soil 11/1, 1st sprout 12/3/15, 2nd 12/5, 3rd and 4th 12/6.

Thanks

Patience. Up to 2 years is not unheard of. 6+ months is also very common. You may also see germination in waves, with some early, some later, some more later, and some more when you've forgot about them.

Never give up. If you get bored of them throw them into the garden and forget about them; I've had banana seedlings popping up all over the place for a couple of years now and I live in England. You should have no problems living in Bolivia.

Fastest I ever had germinate was Thai Black in 2 weeks, I have had others take several months.

I germinate mine on a bed of Damp Sphagnum in a sealed container, helps keep it damp longer and less chance of drying out in case I forget.

ok this isn't as simple as just putting a seed in a cup and watch it grow. Sounds like a gamble with growing bananas from seeds. I have good results from growing pups, but seeds is different.

It is more difficult and takes longer than most seeds but that makes it so much more rewarding when one does sprout. Banana seeds can be lots of fun.
