Hi guys, we had a lot of rain the last two weeks, & I noticed that one of my plants has picked up a soft spot.

Would you cut this out? Or let the plant try to resolve it on its own?

I usually cut them out, but never know whether I am being a little overly cautious about it. Thanks in advance for the advice.

Yes remove it and any portions that it has spread to. That is rot and it will spread though the whole plant is left in place. It usually happens when it is cold and wet.

Thanks, that was my first reaction as well. Rot is a relatively significant problem in Phoenix when you transplant something during the summer months. The heat tends to make the outer layers want to rot before the larger plant can root.
