Hello. I bought my first pair of banana plants in early September (Dwarf Cavendish, California Gold) and have since added some more to my 'collection'.
Goldfinger FHIA-1, Musa Gran Nain (x2), a larger Goldfinger FHIA-1, Dwarf Brazilian, Dwarf Ornico. All seem to be doing fine (used nice potting mix, good drainage, water heavily and then wait for soil to start to dry up before watering again, keep leaves away from direct peak sun hours). I plan on keeping these in large containers, so, will see how it goes. So far they're consistent pushing up the rolled up leaves. Hopefully get bananas some day.

I hope the bananas you obtained are true to their labels. What was your source?

Mostly local nurseries... some came in 1 gallon pots, others in larger pots with Monterey Bay Nursery tags. (wife of co-worker also has some banana plants in her garden)
