Default Winter coming, mama and 3 pups????

Sort of in a dilemma...need some advice from the more experienced participants in this great forum.
Got a 6' tall (7 mos.old) California Gold (14) leaves and she's got 3 pups at her side (2 mos. old)
The plant is in a 18 gal. container.
Need any and all suggestions on how to winter the plant and pups over the winter.
Should I cut the pseudostem's height? If so how much should I cut.
Also, do I need to cut/separate the pups from the mother plant or simply leave them alone!!
I plan on bringing them all in for the winter.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Can you store the entire stem (w/o leaves) in a cool dry basement? I would imagine you could store the 6' plant bare root that way but may lose the pups depending on their size.

I have a dwarf orinoco that is similar in size. I plan to keep the pups growing in small pots over winter and dry store the mother plant.

I have a potted Tall Orinoco that has 8 small pups. I plan to bring the pot into my garage when cold hits our area. In the spring I will separate the pups, and plant in the ground. Good luck with your plants.

If you have the room to move the plant indoors just move the whole plant indoors, and keep everything intact and split all in the spring.
The photo shows the plants out of the container while a knife is run between the pups. After the light cuts are made the
plants (still intact with the cut just separating the pups and not through all the soil ) can be put back in the container.

If you split do you have room to grow them out for the winter in your home.
If you do nothing you will still be ok ....I have plants that are on the "cusp " to separate........but if I do the plant will not have time to reroot with confidence.

Your choice!
