More photos of my Praying Hands banana.
The bud first appeared same day with my Manzano bud, but Praying Hands seems to be slower than Manzano. Its first bract opened a week later than Manzano one.

Nikos please keep us updated on the photos of the Praying Hands. I have the Manzano and the Praying Hands but I'm more interested in the latter because of it's unsual form of fruit. Great pics!

I copied one of these pics to the new gallery for closeups of banana flowers.
If anyone stumbles upon pictures here of closeups of flowers that you think are suitable to copy to the flower closeups category, please let me know.

I took some of some road bananas in Okinawa, Japan that BigDog seems to be pretty confident that he knows what they are. Should we add them?

To go in that category, they have to be macro shots of the tips of the flowers showing the detail of the structures. In other words, no pictures of banana bunches or whole plants, just really close shots of the pistil, petals, etc..
and they must have a positive ID!
like this one:

And I think it's better to put one for female & one for male flowers.
In my case i must wait for some days to get a shot of Praying Hands male flowers.. (now i am on 5th hand!)
