It's mid September so there is only a month left in the growing season here in the Great Lakes.

I bought a couple of these in 2013 and one has gotten steadily bigger and the other one has declined since the first year it was overwintered ( I pot them up and place them in a sun-room heated to at least 40f, my basement is heated to 70 degrees so I have no suitable place to overwinter anything fully dormant), and this year it won't be worth bringing her in, oddly enough as it got progressively smaller, all of the red disappeared as well.

The other one OTOH is kickin butt.

I've got a 40 gallon pot (it is important to pick a size large enough to keep the leaves big in size as many plants will revert to smaller leaves under stress in the low light conditions of mid winter) waiting for it, the lead leaf will need to be trimmed occasionally to allow it to fully emerge unencumbered, other than that it will do fine.

That horse looks like he wants to help you trim down the leaves for overwinter.

Oh he would, given half a chance.
