I cut them down to the Bare Corm,

I hope you don't do that to the Manini. :ha: Have Fun.

I'm curious to know if this 3640 kept putting out these colored leaves.

I hope those of you currently growing the French Red Plantain keep this variety in a special place. It is truly a Majestic Naner that takes my breath every time I look at one.

Ed, it's truly amazing how vigorous this Majestic Naner is growing for you... any tips to share?

I don't think is anything that special that i'm doing, I dont like to over think things, I just let it be ;), This Musa I can Tell Is Going to do well in my Zone, I will be extremely happy if i can get it to fruit, as you know my Family & i love Plantains :08:...

I have the plant on my patio table where it receives plenty of sun ,Its been raining up here almost everyday, so i don't water it.
That is it..

I love this plant ! Thanks for giving me the opportunity to own it & experiment with it ..

This Musa Wants To Break Out Of The 3 Gal Pot, I Think She Wants To Be Planted In The Ground!, Its Too Risky Thou:08:, Next Spring I Will Plant It..

The 2 F-21's Where planted at the same time from corm, Look at the growth rate of the FR:08::08:

I have a few in culture now and hope to have some to offer later in the year! The French red and tall red iholena are by far my favorite looking Musa!

The French red is very productive and an excellent grower! The only plantain I have that grows faster is the Maiden plantain! It is a monster grower!!

I am hoping I can get one from PR Giants but if I can't, i'll possibly attempt to trade you kudzu for your French Red XD honestly the prettiest nana in my opinion!

Not good. About average or slightly below. It loves the heat and grows crazy during the growing season but come winter I would for sure keep a backup somewhere safe! I would say it sits between a cavendish and a Mysore.

thank you. French red is awesome. I planted the fei near the garage for power and I can move the French red later when aa ty said I have enough of her to make sure I do not have to buy another. and if the coming winter is anything similar to what the past winters were I will not have any room in the dining room. :ha:
