I have a little pup that was given to me. Don't know what it is, but it's been growing fine, if slowly compared to everyone else, the last couple of months. We just has a couple of days of rain, and today I see that two of the leaves are going black. What's going on, and what can I do to fix the problem? I've got it isolated from the herd, but still concerned for my little collection.
Thanks in advance. <a href="http://s176.photobucket.com/user/MasterBarton/media/banana2_zpsnngbotcz.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w176/MasterBarton/banana2_zpsnngbotcz.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo banana2_zpsnngbotcz.jpg"/></a>

Doesn't look like disease, is the potting mix waterlogged? If not maybe some fertilizer. Kinda looks like Phosphorus deficiency. http://agritech.tnau.ac.in/horticulture/images/banana_p.jpg

At the moment it's quite water logged, and the rains are coming again. I was planning on repotting it today into something that drains better. Oddly enough, the rest of my plants are in the same basic mix potting/pearlite mix but they don't hold water like this one. Starting to think the pot itself doesn't drain well enough.

Stand corrected. Wasn't waterlogged at all. The soil was moist but crumbled easily when I popped her out of the pot. Rootbound. Lots of nice white roots. So now I'm back to a nutrient deficiency?
I'd fertilize and repot in a soil mixture containing 40-50% coarse sand. I'd use manure or compost to fertilize. Works for me...
