I have four plants in a row and only one of them is producing leaves like this. I tried snail bait but that had no affect. Is this a disease or is something feasting on the plants?

Something seems to be eating it. I have no idea what it is... Keep watching and you'll know. What kind of plant is it?

It was marketed as a gran nain from Florida hill. I've read a lot of people have had trouble with them but it appears the got my order correct.

It looks like there are tiny (tip of a pen) poops inside the pseudo stem

It's just weird that the other three surrounding it are untouched.

I am in OK and have had a few issues with something eating holes in leaves of a few but not on a new unfolded leaf. I saw a grasshopper on one and have sprayed. More problem with hosta's.:ha:

So there is definitely a bug or larvae in the pstem eating it... I hope for you that it's gone!!!

You have grubby buggers!!! They eat holes thru the cigar leaves at the point of emergence and leave lots of poop - digested banana leaf.

There are several posts on this subject. I shoot some bug spray down into the petiole canal for a week or so. No more bugs. Use a ladder for taller pstems.

Looks like this------------------
