HI FELLOW BANANA LOVERS,
I am a lover of bananas, & own quite a few farms of common & esqusite species. Banans have made my fortune & i love sharing them & about them with anybody interested. I am located in Cameroon, equatorial Africa, at the foot of the mount Cameroon. I have three different climatic zones within 10kms, from hot at the base of the mountain to chilly about 2000m up the mountain to accomdate my various species, & i exploit it to a maximum, thus species that can only thrive in very cold places still do well in my hands.
Hope my introduction have not been too long, Hope to learn & share a lot in this forum.

Welcome. I'm also new in the forum, also new a banana growing. Hopefully we will all learn from each other. What kind of bananas do you have? Africa should have a great climiate for growing bananas. You seem to be in a good area. How is your soil. The soil here, I live in Florida, is very sandy. Dorothy

Thanks a bunch friends.
I feel most welcomed to this forum. As for the banana species i grow, they include lady finger, orinoco,up on the cold mountain, ice cream, gros michel for commercial purposes, and cavendish. The soil around here is volcanic ash, phonolites & basalts, And they have proved real good to my bananas.
