Just signed up. After purchasing a home with banana plants in the yard, I've ordered some other varieties to enjoy next year. I'm new to this and am finding a lot of good information. Here's to learning more about bananas!

I purchased my "new" plants from Ted at Green Earth Publishing Co. (http://www.bananaplants.net) He's in Melbourne, FL which is just a few hours from me. All plants arrived in good health and he's been great in responding to some of my questions.

I'm not sure what variety of plants came with the house I just bought, but they're currently bearing bananas! I'll upload some images when I get some time.
Recently, I purchased:
Dwarf Cavendish, Dwarf Red, Gold Finger, Gran Nain, and Lady Fingers.
All doing ok in pots on my porch. Will plant them in a few weeks in my back yard. ;)
