i have been into Brugmansias for almost 15 years. only recently have i gotten the bug for various bananas (especially the variegates).
Here are some of the flushes i have had this 2015 season so far....Fall and winter is when my second round of flushes will begin. Brugmansias A.K.A angel trumpet are indigenous to the cooler mountainous regions of central and south america, so my south florida winters please them the most..
here are just a few of over 100 cultivars i hybridize and raise here at my little garden cottage

The best part is that they grow harmoniously with bananas. They can accept some of the same fertilizers, and i use the taller bananas as shade trees to keep the blazing summer sun off my young brugmansias..It works!

Pretty & Im sure smells good too!

Ive never grown these but can you start a tree
from a branch cutting like a plumeria/kalachuchi tree?

Cheers

Yes, some cultivars are much easier to root than others but cuttings are the only way to clone a particular plant. They are not self fertile. They must be pollinated with another variety so seeds do not come true to parents. Instead like humans the seeds will be a genetic combination of both parents.

The deep yellow/sunflower like color
of the Lemon Twist is appealing.
Anymore pictures of your 100 cultivars
you want to share?

What brugmansia do you have that puts out the largest flower. Is it super nova ?
I read some where someone was talking about a kongmansia. Is that actually a brugmansia or just a nickname they gave to something like the super nova.
