This is one of my favorite perennials the yellow flowers are so bright and beautiful but I don't know what is really is. Probably the last unknown plant we have in our gardens. First picture is at dusk the flowers tend to close a little bit at night.

Yes, I had plenty of these when I lived in Rochester, NY, and I really enjoyed them. I believe the plant is called "evening primrose." That's what the neighbors called it, anyway.

Not sure if it's an evening primrose but it is probably an Oenothera. (Evening primrose open at night.)

Everyone seems to be right!!!I've grown that one and also the Missouri Evening Primrose which really does bloom at night just like a Moonflower. I'm not much of a flower person but those are 2 of my favorites.

I love flowers!!! Especially when attached to the plant! In combination with Benadryl... I don't know about you guys but pollen is intense this year... and where are the bees?Ask the GM seed makers at Monsanto. All that crap is borne into the plant and when the honeybees feed on the nectar, they are ingesting tiny amounts that add up over time. It's affecting the Monarch butterfly population as well.
