my satsuma tangerine suffered an attack from scales while in the basement for the winter.
i would reach in and scrape them off.. but some branches at the back were out of reach so the scales really went to town.. covering branches and fruit.

Congrats! I lost 2 lemons that way during winter and some blood orange fruits... Where did you get that variety?

Flora Exotica - Exotic Plants (Flowers, Fruits, Foliage, Vegetable & Herb) (http://www.floraexotica.ca)

yes the scales also liked my other citrus trees and olive tree

I didn't know that Perry has that variety. He has so much stuff. I usually purchase from him. Great seller. Thanks. I'll wait though, I'm starting to have a lot of plants and I have to reorganize everything...

my friend from morocco said that the dimpled ones will be pulpy and dry
the smooth skinned ones will be juicy and good.

i think it is a result of too much nitrogen, not enough phosphorus and potassium

and also the major attack of the scales

i think that is what made some of them pear shaped(the oldest fruit... formed during the scale attack)
