Hi all, I've had this Dwarf Cavendish for about three years now in a 15 gallon container. Once it broke dormancy this spring I transplanted it to a 25 gallon pot because it was very root bound. Now it's about 3 feet tall and pushing new leaves like crazy with regular water and fertilizer. As I expected, it has (unfortunately) also resumed sending up pups. I'm hoping to get fruit from the main culm eventually but want to know if I should remove the pups or leave them alone? Best,

Kane

I'd remove the pups. What fertilizer are you using?

I'm alternating between granular Osmocote and liquid Miracle Gro every two weeks

My banana tree has about 4 pups around it. IS there a reason to remove the pups??
Sorry, did not mean to hi-jack the thread :)

Osmocote should never be applied that often.

What Miracle Gro formula are you using?
