Very excited to join this forum! I live in Central Virginia..zone 7......recently purchased 2 California Gold plants. They arrived in good shape...basically a clump of roots surrounded by a sterile potting mix shipped in a waterproof bag approx. 2+ inches in diameter. The pseudstem was approx. 6" in height and ea. plant had 4 leaves. Ipotted them last Saturday into 6" pots. In the last 5 days ea. plant has sprouted a new full leaf.
My question is: I currently have them in my Florida room with a maintained temp. between 78-82 degrees.....24/7.... I have only watered them once since potting and I check them daily with a moisture & pH meter......all looks good. Is it safe to add a liquid or pelletized fertiler to such a young plant. The original potting mix I used was a STA-GREEN product with a minimal amount of fertilizer in the mix. Any and all ideas or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks All
