Hello,
I've joined today because I have had a banana plant that I've kept as a houseplant indoors in a pot. I've had it for 13 years. It was about 1.5 to 2 feet tall when I got it, and it is now about 6 feet tall above the soil. It is now flowering for the first time, and this will be the first time I've seen fruit. I am hoping to learn what kind of banana plant it is.
As an aside I am hesitant to write about, just because this isn't something people talk about much, I feel a huge amount of energy when I get close to this plant.
I have a BA in Plant Biology and an MA in sustainable land design.
Nice to meet you all.
