Hi
I just bought blue Java ice cream banana. And I have several questions about it:
1-the fruit coming out is it really blue or just like an ordinary banana color?
2-the one I bought is a tissue cultured one,is there a special method to care of it?
Thanks
Welcome! Before starting, you should properly introduce yourself in ' members introduction' section. Some will ask you to identify the region you are living in because where you live will affect the way to care for it. I am far from being an expert so I will leave the other members give you the infos you need. If it's in a pot, do not water too much! And finally, your 'ice cream' is probably a 'blue java', as most of the people who bought one. Still supposed to be a good variety. You can always go read the other post as there are many on this site about that particular cultivar.

Welcome to bananas.org.
Like JP said, we need some more information on where you live, where from you have purchased your plant etc. to answer your questions.
Your plant might be labeled IceCream/Blue Java but most likely is a Namwah. I grow the "real Blue Java/IceCream" (see my Avatar photo) and the Namwah. If you use the search engine here on bananas.org there is plenty of info on the differences and the mislabeled issue.
However, Namwah bananas taste pretty good.
Happy growing.
Sorry, I meant 'namwah'... Not blue java. Multitasking a bit too much today! Lol!

Ice Creams/blue java bought from a nursery or on-line dealer are unlikely.
you probably have a namwa variety - if you want a true IC perhaps you can score one from a member here?
