Okay, I'm on a roll. I posted a thread about my California Gold and will now post about my Dwarf Brazlian that I got from my friend, Joe Real. Joe is a busy collector of citrus and this is how I first met him, but he also has extensive experience with bananas. Since I was coming over for the huge California Gold, I couldn't pass up the offer on the Dwarf Brazilian. Joe has a small yard and I have a large yard (I live on 47 acres and rent other ground as well). So, if any of you want to get rid of some pups that can grow in zone 9, let me know!
Anyway, this Dwarf Brazilian did suffer some leaf damage but it wasn't from the wind driving down the freeway because it was inside my pickup cab. However, I had laid it down so that the halved mother corm could scab and I was foolish and let some leaves get sunburned. It is now growing well, though. Joe said that this may have mutated slightly as it seems more cold hardy than normal. I'm especially looking forward to fruits from this plant. I used to work in Hawaii (yes, WORK) for 4 weeks a year and loved the apple bananas while there!

By the way, more of you should post in the wiki to indicate if you're growing a particular cultivar.
Thanks for looking!
