Mine only has one new leaf so far. It does have those little burnt spots on the old leaves that it that it came with. I think mine may need a bit more sun but am afraid to try it, lol. I just transplanted mine this week so maybe it will grow a bit faster.

Mine has a small amount of new growth but It's only getting filtered sunlight so I suppose it will take some time. I don't really see anything special about the color yet.

Mine is on the verge of dying.
It never took off after I got it and has continued to wilt. :(
Good to see everyone else's are doing good :)

Mine was in the original pot until last week. I did not see many roots coming out but waited until it grew out that new leaf so that I knew it was growing alright after being shipped like that. So far so good but we'll see.

Try switching feeding/watering habits. Also look for insects, so I would change the place where it sits now, unless you have already planted it on the ground. The amount of sun would be an issue too.

Mine got another leaf almost immediately after transplanting. They are greener than the leaves they came with and less variegated even with the light variegation. I am hoping this will change as it gets older. It does seem healthy and growing well though.

Posted a picture of my Namwah Pearl on my gallery. It is a little "scorched" because of a recent cold-weather (60) three-days in a row.Doing fine again so far.

Yep, that was ~57-60 degrees.
I'm located in Troy, MI.I think that explains everything.:D
We hit upper eighties today. The plant is doing great again.Over the next couple weeks I think it will be time to move them inside though.

Aren't those supposed to be verigated? Where did everyone get them from?
Thanks,

Most of the regulars here bought them from an e-bay seller. However they are now available from Natural Selections, a nursery that I know to be first rate. If I decide to buy one, I will try here first because I have received healthy good sized plants that show minimal travel wear every time I have ordered from them.

You can get it from the website posted before: Natural Selections, or buy it from e-bay, just do a search on "dwarf namwah pearl" and you will find some for sale,as I think the seller still had a couple of these plants left.

Ours don't seem to nearly have as much variegation as the one in the pictures at that site.

I noticed that too, but apparently they "variegate as they grow older".The lnew leaf you see on the photo of my plant is now unfurled and it's mostly cream-colored with little green on them.

Ok, well that is encouraging. Mine is putting out its third leaf and they all are more solid green than the ones they came with and all start out fairly light but not much variegation. I will be curious to see how these all turn out when they are older.

I am very curious to see my new leaf which hasn't unfolded completely yet. It has some darker lines all the way down the back sides of them. I am anxious to see the front sides and see if they are more variegated. Will let you all know.

They all look light like that with the new leaves but after they are around for a while they turn dark. Mine had some neat long stripes down the back side this time(I thought they were water marks at first but they never went away) but unfortunately this made no difference to the front side. So far all of the pictures look just like mine. I wonder how large it has to get before we see any real results. I guess I am just anxious.

Any updates? Mine is starting to grow faster and all the new leaves are totally cream colored with a faint bit or red color in the midriff. They seem to end up get burned no matter where I place the plant or how much water or how little food it gets?
