Using a EyeFi WIFI SD card had limited the number of days I could shoot time-lapse. I generally only got about a 1.5 days. I'm now on day 3 and still at 100% battery. I paid $36 for this solar panel vs $90 for the one from the manufacturer. This also came with a backup 12v battery for rainy days.

P.S. The growth of the middle plant really picks up towards the end of the last day.

I bought mine as a bundle on Ebay but found a better battery on Amazon. It also took a while to arrive. I would recommend buying on Amazon if you are interested.

I'm working on a cheaper time lapse solution using the RaspberryPi (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LPESRUK/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00LPESRUK&linkCode=as2&tag=alt078-20&linkId=IXQFGV7ISI5B6BRF) (a $35 computer). I'll post more on that when it is complete. Currently I'm using a Wingscapes TimelapseCam (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00H2SNVAO/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creative=390957&creativeASIN=B00H2SNVAO&linkCode=as2&tag=alt078-20&linkId=UFHI3LTZZECBCBPD) which is limiting when it comes to focal length. The model I have is discontinued and I'm not really interested in paying $99 for something with only 2 stars.

how long between shots?

On "Test 06" the time lapsed is about 7 days.
