i'd been trying to grow musa acuminata as a hobby farmer. the banana plant had been planted for 10 months now. fertiliser had been given every month. it was growing until recently i get weird leaves coming out. Anyone here can help me to diagnose the problem? Thanks in advance. :nanadrink:

Hey there,
first of all: I'm no expert.
I red recently an article (http://www.bananas.org/f2/article-banana-fertilization-nutrient-deficiencies-17137.html#post210320) about shortage of nutrients.
You said fert has been given monthly? Have you testet the soil? Is there any shortage or too much of any nutrients there?
The leaves look to me like the plant is in shortage of nitrogen and/or Potash.
How about water? (but in my experience a banana is staying mostly green even if there is too much water and its going to die)
Enough air in the soil?
I hope my questions might help figuring out whats wrong with ur nana.

thanks for the reply, boffcheck.
the soil had been tested. its suppose to be low of all major nutrients. but 100g of fertiliser 12-6-22-3+boron was applied every month.
its been raining almost every other day for few months recently here. don't think water was the problem.
