In the last 2 days i have seen significant growth on this plant. The problem is that the leaves seem underdeveloped. They are extremely thin, tearing easily and burning. I didn't get a picture yesterday but the newest leaf was tearing open the prior leaf which was still completely unopened.

hmm did you change anything recently? (I see the cut but maybe you tell all things happen to the banana)
what makes you think you added too much fert?

That looks like calcium and or boron deficiency.

The cut is related to the late removal of this pup. More in the link below but basically it was growing to far into my pool and I had to move it.

I was just guessing over fertilization because I had seen something similar in the past when I incorrectly measured the fertilizer. I use Grow More 16-8-24 at 1 tablespoon per 1 gallon per 1 month per mat.

If that is the case, maybe my giving it fertilizer a couple days before seeing the symptoms is just coincidence. The fertilizer I use has both calcium and boron. The other thing I was reading said it could be insufficient water supply. It has been hot anyways so I'll give it a little extra water and see if the fertilizer I gave it takes affect.
