Hello :)
I got this one as a rare edible variety from Cuba, from a reputable European seller with many varieties in stock and no reason to falsify IDs. He actually got these for himself and it was one of the few extras.
I planted it last winter as a 30cm tall plant and it grew to a beast surprisingly fast and with no winter damage despite its small size. I was thinking/hoping it may be an Australimusa/Fe'i but it's way of growth kinda remindse of basjoo,which I am not growing though and cannot compare. What is it? Is it an edible? Is it M. basjoo?

Base of pseudostem and pups. Pups at a good distance,longest observed so far on its first pups is 40cm away
