I had issues up here as well .....
Lost a few leaves here also, as well as
few tree limbs.
Manini took it heavy....blew over 3x broke alot of leaves.
You took it hard....ab
Now the colder weather will set soon.....so no recovery is on the horizon....
And so it goes.......

I make a lot of mulch but keeping the pk's below the bend.. Had caligold & Datil pots blow over so it was some serious wind.. Braz & Sweetheart have a couple broken brach's, and I do believe Njalipoovan might have one broke so it fared the best..

You should consider leaf pruning, I deal with high winds on a regular basis and pruning makes a huge difference.
FYI when leaves are pruned, the remaining leaves become more efficient.

So sorry to see that. :(
Where they fruiting or near? If it is just a bend on the PK, you may have some good chances for it to survive.
It sucks no matter what. Best of luck.

Any pointers on leaf pruning to stand up to the wind? Just generally reduce the number of leaves to reduce wind resistance, or are you more strategic about which leaves get removed (e.g., ones anticipated to catch the full brunt of the wind based on expected direction)?
