Hi,

Here I have awful problems with M Velutina because it always waits until autumn, then flowers, hence I end up with a quite ridiculous kitchen full of flowering M velutina with leaves bent over because they are higher than the ceiling.

Is there any way of making them wait until the next spring or otherwise timing them in some way?

Technically there is a way. You would have to mistreat the plant for the amount of time you want delay the bloom.(little to no sun, no water) But then the plant will also have to come back from being mistreated and that could take some time too. Of course there is always the chance of killing the plant in doing this. It would be an interesting experiment!
